ATRI Sponsors and Partners

Sponsors and Partners

The organizations listed on this page have made significant contributions to the activities of the Assistive Technology Research Institute, either through funding support of projects, sponsoring of projects, loans/donations of materials, partnering in research efforts or other measures of support.

The ATRI extends its thanks to these organizations for their past and future support.

  • Pride Mobility

    • For over a year, ATRI has been working with Pride Mobility to explore issues related to the use of powered mobility. In January, 2005, ATRI completed our first project for Pride. In the initial stages of this project, it was decided that the results would be for internal use only. For that reason, all we are able to make available is the executive summary of the study.
    • ATRI is currently working to develop two additional studies for Pride Mobility.
  • Software Engineering Associates

    • Software Engineering Associates (SEA) is a technology company specializing in leading open source development initiatives. SEA has invested in state-of-the-art data, voice and meeting capabilities. SEA conducts preferred testing and development activities in a dedicated server environment utilizing the FREEBSD operating platform and Postgress database management software; SEA accommodates alternative application environments and tools as dictated by customer need.

    • Over a series of meetings between SEA and ATRI, the accessibility of their Open-Source dynamic web page creation tool was explored. As a result of these meetings, the code of Plankton was modified to assure that the pages created by Plankton are accessible by default.
    • SEA is currently working with ATRI on a significant grant application.
