Dr. Baker is an adjunct professor of Augmentative Communication at the University of Pittsburgh. He presented numerous RESNA instructional courses as well as numerous workshops, special sessions, and platform papers. He has a certificate of appreciation from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. He is the recipient of the ISAAC Distinguished Service Award (1998), the Founder of SHOUT, sponsor of the Pittsburgh Employment Conference for Augmented Communicators, and the recipient of the RESNA Leadership Award (2000). He was chair and presenter for the session on AAC at the 21st International Conference on the Computer Processing of Oriental Languages in 2006 in Singapore.

Dr. Fallon teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of language disorders, language development, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and clinical methods. Her research interests include literacy and its relationship to individuals who require AAC, and individuals with language-learning disabilities. Dr. Fallon has published articles in a variety peer-reviewed journals including The Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSHR), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and The American Journal of Speech Language Pathology. She has also presented extensively at national and international conferences.

Dr. Mineo is an Associate Professor and a Senior Scientist at the University of Delaware’s Center for Applied Science and Engineering. She was a practicing clinician prior to becoming the Assistant Director of the Bi oengineering Program at the Association for Retarded Citizens National Headquarters in Texas, where she developed new technology applications specifically for individuals with cognitive limitations. Dr. Mineo also directs the Delaware Assistive Technology Initiative, Delaware’s AT Act Program, and works closely with the Delaware Department of Education on initiatives promoting curricular access for all students. She has served as editor of the journal Assistive Technology and associate editor of Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
